WHAT IS EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY?

 

Do you have a great day or two of something awesome that’s happening with your company? Why not document it all in photos? Event photography is a great way of sharing the mood and happenings of a particular event with a larger audience. Event photography is also an invaluable source of marketing material for future events. Our approach comes from years of documenting weddings from a mostly photojournalistic approach, fused with our commercial lighting expertise. Although our focus is usually documentary with events, it’s also possible to inject the Your Face Is Rad brand of portraiture into an event, capturing our signature awesome portraits of the attendees. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Half-Day Rate (up to 4hrs): $900

Full-Day Rate (up to 8hrs): $1800

Additional Hours: $300 each

Additional Photographers: $100/hr

$50 Mobile Studio Set-up Fee for Event Headshots or Step and Repeats

  • Edited photos delivered on a private online gallery with high resolution downloads

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  1. You’ll contact us to check our availability on the dates of your event.
  2. We’ll chat either virtually or on the phone about your photo needs and create the perfect photographic package for your event.
  3. Event photo coverage!
  4. We’ll select the best photos from the event and edit them.
  5. We’ll deliver fully edited high-resolution digital files from the shoot in an online gallery for downloading.

What you need to know about event photography.

We cover events that are centered around business functions. These include corporate parties, grand openings, retreats, conferences, conventions, and many others. We however do not offer event coverage for weddings or personal events such as birthday parties or family reunions.
Unless pre-planned we approach all events with a mostly candid photo documentary approach. Meaning we’re not going to pose any of the attendees for photos ourselves unless that's part of your end game. We also are really into lighting, so when we're able to utilize our lighting skills our images tend to look a bit more polished than other photographers.
We can! It needs to be planned out before the event though. We do not offer on-site printing, but if you’re looking for a photo booth sort of service we can add one of our partners in this specialty to our event coverage.
The best way to accomplish this is by hiring us to run a headshot station during the event. This can be a standalone service separate from event coverage.
Weddings are a completely different animal from other events. In the past we had a dedicated wedding photography business, however, this is a service we no longer offer. We can recommend some great local wedding photographers!
Yes. We photograph events with full-frame digital cameras that have a minimum of 20 or more megapixels that create images larger than what is needed for 4K displays. That's nearly 4 times the resolution of a Blu-ray DVD. Please let us know if specific image sizes are required for your event.
A big NOPE. Our photos have been logo-free for years. The images we create are specifically for your advertising, not ours. We always love shout outs and credits, but we’d rather that they come from the heart than a stamp on a photo. That said, there will be plenty of room for your logo on the images, and we're happy to help you get your watermark on the images if that's a requirement.
Through the magic of the internet. We'll give you access to a private online gallery where you can go to download the images.
Yes, and we do so frequently. Travel fees may apply.
Our normal lead time for events is approximately 2 weeks to turn around edited images. We can make special arrangements when discussed in advance of your event if you need a faster delivery time, although additional charges may apply.
No. Due to the high volume nature of events, it would not be feasible to edit and deliver every photo taken at the event. We sort through and deliver the highlights from all of the key moments that we cover. Any specific "must-have" shots should be discussed in advance. We generally deliver 25-50 edited images per photographer, per hour of service.
Not a problem, we have an extensive network of talented freelance photographers we can hire if you need more than one photographer. It is however important that we get as much advanced notice as possible to secure another photographer.
As artists, we retain the copyright to any image we create. We do however grant you a license to use the images for your marketing campaigns!
